New smaller trawl doors offer bigger spread, reduced fuel consuption
After putting its efforts into developing their Flipper door that has been shown to meet the needs of the demersal and small pelagic sector, Danish manufacturer Thyborøn Trawldoor switched its attention to the development of its Type 22 VK Bluestream doors that were launched last year.
The skipper "Miguel Àngel Pouseu Villar" and his crew just finished the fastest trip in the vessels history, they managed to catch 1.543 tons of squid in Falkland waters on only 18 days!
